Gordon Ramsay plays a big, bad, meanie on Hell's Kitchen. This video, a demonstration of Gordon cooking the perfect scrambled eggs, shows it's all an act. He swirls around eggs while talking about how he plans to surprise his Mrs. with breakfast in bed. It's very sweet.
Now I don't want to question his style of cooking scrambled eggs...but I will. Every step of the way his approach to eggs is different than mine. He waits to season, scrambles them in the pan, and then starts mixing the eggs and doesn't stop. I mix the eggs, season them in the bowl, pour them into the pan, and then let them sit while they cook. Usually, I only mix the eggs a few times while they are cooking in the pan. I'm not sure if his eggs are better or not. Guess I'll have to watch the video again and make the eggs Gordon's way. Of course, if I added a knob of butter and some crème fraîche my sneaker would taste good scrambled.
Gordon is opening a restaurant at Tysons Corner. How great is that?
