Today I bought a special treat at the farmers market--crab cakes. For $5 bucks, you can walk away with a delicious ball of crab meat. I decided to break apart the cake and cook the crab in a light sauce of lemon, garlic, capers, butter, and olive oil and serve it over homemade sun dried tomato pasta (also $5 bucks). I added some arugula and a little parmesan to complete the dish. No recipe needed!
The best thing about the ingredients at the market is that everything tastes good. You do not have to create an overly complicated dish to find flavor. This is what I learned from Alice Waters and her delicious book The Art of Simple Food.
