Let me get right to the point: thick-cut applewood smoked bacon–perfectly cooked. Crisp, but pliable, fatty, but not greasy, salty and delicious. The bacon at Ted's Bulletin was the best I've tasted in recent memory. And, ooohh, the hash browns: crispy and light. My omelet was tasty, but the egg-to-filling ratio was off. Less eggs and more spinach and mushrooms, please. I enjoyed my meal, but not everything was a hit. A bite of my friend's breakfast burrito, highly recommended by the waitress, was a little bland (though my friend seemed pleased with it).
Ted's is a awesome space. Big and bright, the art deco dining room is warm and welcoming. Whoever designed the space did something nice for its future guests by giving them a little leg room. Unlike many other restaurants, you won't be sitting on top of your fellow diners at Ted's.
Yes, it's true, poptarts are back and you can buy strawberry ones with colorful sprinkles at Ted's. Word on the street is that they are delicious.
Overall, Ted's is a solid breakfast place. I wouldn't wait in a long line for it, but it's worth a visit. It opens at 7am and breakfast is available any time.
