Meet Josie! (or, as the internets fondly calls her, baby arugula). Her full name is Josephine and we are in love with her. She was born a few weeks ago and it's been a blur ever since. Don't mind that scrunch face, she's actually quite pleasant. I used to think it was hard to take photos of food. Then I tried to take pictures of an infant.
We are getting into the swing of things. I'm sure it will be a bit before I do any regular blogging again.
The fact of the matter is that I haven't done any cooking. Have we slowly withered away? Nope. Thanks to our friends, we are well fed. There was a chicken pot pie from Katie, Jim, Sophie and Ethan. We ate it for dinner, breakfast, and lunch. Even though when I heated it up I slightly burned the edges, it was delicious. Our friends Anne, Jeff, and Colin brought us linguine bolognese, complete with salad, garlic bread, and ice cream. That lasted a few tasty meals. Lesley, Rob and Caroline brought marinated flank steak, ceaser salad, and a bottle of pinot grigio. Cesear salad was one dish (of many) that I missed eating while pregnant (raw eggs!); it totally hit the spot. Plus, the bottle of wine. Oh how I missed my white wine.
Are you stuffed yet?
Better make room for the Mexican lasagna and chicken pot pie Denise sent over. YUMMY. And, oh my, Bridget, Joe, and Ryan are bringing pizza over today.
Thanks to all of you.
We feel like we are the luckiest. Totally blessed by thoughtfulness and generosity of our friends and family.
