Four Sisters Vietnamese restaurant, a perennial favorite on the Washingtonian's cheap eats list, has more than 100 plates on their menu. It's the type of place where you can order really right and be super happy with your dish or order wrong and feel happy, but underwhelmed. If you ask my daughter Josie what to order on the menu she will point you to two very important items.
Those two items are the crispy pork rolls and sticky rice. That's it. Order those, and according to her, you will leave full and super happy. Apparently, everyone loves fried food, including getting-pickier-by-the-day-almost-two-year-olds.
If you want to branch out, order the shaky beef in lime in pepper sauce. Best. Dish. There.
The broccoli dish is a vegetable dish that actually tastes like a vegetable. It's one of my favorites.
Marcus likes the pork in a clay pot. My Uncle raved about the fish in a clay pot. I love the tofu in a clay pot. So, basically, order something in a clay pot. I also love the vermicelli noodles with shrimp and scallops.
Or you could just order pork rolls and rice and leave happy.
